Matthew & Helene are AMAZING!!!!

I moved to Austin about 2 years ago and have since been on a constant search for a regular place to have my hair done. I am very happy that I went to ROAR salon last week! What an amazing experience and I got TONS of compliments on my style and color!!

Matthew Redden was my stylist. Even though I actually have known Matthew since high school, I am very lucky to have run into him last year. I was bummed when he moved away, but when he told me he was coming back, I was soooo happy that he did!!! He did an absolutely FANTASTIC job on my cut and blowout. I wish he could style my hair on a daily basis....this way it always looks great!! :) I am so looking forward to having him do my bridal up-do for my April 2012 wedding! :)

Helene Clay was my colorist and was very lucky to have been in her hands!! I just gave her a celebrity example of the color I was going for and she knew exactly what I was going for. She was so easy to talk to and is very talented at what she does. So many people have given great compliments on the color and the style of my hair. :) If you want great service and results on your new 'do...go see both of them soon!! I know I can't wait till I go back!!

A+ for Matthew!

This was my first visit to ROAR and today i had my hair blown out by MATTHEW REDDEN- a newer stylist. Seriously-this guy is FANTASTIC! For starters, the shampoo was amazing-slow and relaxing and enough to make me want to fall asleep. Throughout the service, he held great conversation, which can be hard at 9 in the morning! The most impressive thing about my service today was the way that he was able to give me a style that was different than what I've ever had before without making me feel so outside of my comfort zone that I wanted to change it when I got home. In fact, I LOVE IT! His blowout was beautiful and modern and it made me feel the same way. GO SEE THIS GUY for great style and great conversation-it will make your day, i promise!

Roar Salon...The best in Austin..If not the US!

I am 41 years old and have been to every "upscale" salon in Austin over the past 20 years. I have also traveled to other cities, such as LA and New York, specifically to visit the well known, upscale salons in those cities as well. After much frustration and copious amounts of money spent, I was ready to just give up. I could not understand how I could walk out of a hair salon spending so much money, and not feel fabby...as you should. I was literally ready to save my money, color my own hair and run down to a 'walk in' salon that charges 8 to 10 dollars. Then I discovered Roar. I had heard some buzz around town about Roar, and decided to give them a try. BEST decision I have ever made. Not only is the salon super cool and groovy..yet sophisticated in its decor, when I called to make an appointment the receptionist made me feel like I was the only client they had. When I came in for my first appointment, the staff was so welcoming. When I sat down to get my hair colored by the owner Rory, he made me feel the same way..like I was his only client. He listened, gave suggestions, and let me ramble on about all my bad experiences. He is a master at coloring, and I get compliments everywhere I go. Then I moved on to Lauren who cut my hair. Again, she listened, gave me feedback and begun her magic. That day I walked out or Roar feeling as fabulous as I ever had. I have been a client here for about 3 years and I have never left unhappy. In fact, every time I leave I want to go our on the town to show off my hair.

Helene Clay -- Awesome!

I went to Roar salon for the first time about 2 weeks ago.....and I LOVED IT!!!!

I also got my highlights done by Helene at Roar and she did an incredible job!!!!! You know a good colorist when they are diligent and take their time getting it right. Helene did just that and I am very very very happy with the color.

So my review of Roar Salon is GREAT and ...YEA FOR ME! Go to them... I will be back for sure :) --

Magic at Work

ROAR salon is "hands down" the best place to get your hair done in Austin. Rory, salon owner, is the best colorist I have ever met. He is so talented and his techniques on coloring hair is a work of art. I get compliments on my hair all the time. Rory is also a FABULOUS person and I am so blessed to know him.
